Book Week is a special celebration in our early childhood setting, highlighting the importance of literacy, imagination, and storytelling. This week, our dedicated educators have created exciting experiences that inspire a love of books, from dress-up days to shared reading circles and engaging story-based activities. By supporting Book Week, our educators encourage children to explore language, expand vocabulary, and develop a lifelong passion for reading. Together, we create joyful moments that foster creativity, strengthen connections, and show children the magic that books bring to their learning journey. (EYLF: Outcomes 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5).

"This week’s Science Week in our early childhood setting has been filled with excitement, discovery, and learning. Through a variety of hands-on experiments, children explored cause-and-effect, seeing how their actions create changes—whether it was mixing colours, making puffer fish, or gigantic bubbles. These experiences encouraged children to ask questions, make predictions, and reflect on outcomes, building critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Child participation was at the heart of every activity, with children pouring, mixing, measuring, and recording their findings. This active involvement not only made learning fun but also strengthened fine motor skills, cooperation, and communication. Science Week aligns beautifully with the Early Years Learning Framework, fostering confident and involved learners who investigate the world around them.
